Garry Corbett
BSc (Hons), MSc, FICorr

Qualified with a Bachelor of Science Degree (Hons) in Physical Sciences (Majoring in Chemistry) and a Master of Science Degree (with Distinction) in Materials and Corrosion Engineering; Garry graduated from Aberdeen’s Robert Gordon University in 1991.

He is a Fellow of the Institute of Corrosion, NACE accredited Senior Corrosion Technologist and has recently gained accreditation as a BS EN 15257 Level 3 certified Senior Cathodic Protection Engineer in the following sectors:

• Underground & Immersed Structures (B)

• Marine Metallic Structures (M)

• Inner surfaces of Metallic Container Structures (I).

He is the Director of Independent Corrosion Services Ltd having set-up and established the company in 2003.

Previous experience gained whilst working at Aberdeen Corrosion Engineers Limited (ACEL) between 1991 – 1993 and then for ten years with Penspen Limited between 1993 – 2003, throughout the UK and on numerous overseas projects in Africa, Middle East, Asia, Europe and Falkland Islands, whilst running the Aberdeen office.
